My interest in painting began back in 1975, when as a 13 year old boy I started experimenting with an old airbrush in my Dad's garage. Those early attempts unlocked a world of magic for me, and I decided then it was the career path I wanted to follow. I entered a Refinishing Apprenticeship at the age of 16, completing 9000 hours of training. Over the years I have worked at many body shops using a number of different paint systems. I have never stopped experimenting with new techniques and materials and have extensively used candys, pearls and various other custom paints. Hot Rods and motorcycles are my specialist areas, but I have also customised helmets,surf-skis,snowboards, letterboxes - I'll paint anything that keeps still long enough! I have won numerous awards for my work and painted many show winning vehicles, the most recent being New Zealand's NZHRA National Hotrod Show for 2007 |
